Instagram Website Source Code Exposed Private Information of Users

Recently, Instagram encountered a huge data flaw wherein it exposed private information regarding thousands of Instagram influencers. The issue was witnessed by a data scientist and business consultant, David Stier.

Among the data that got exposed it also included pages that belonged to private individuals, minors and also businesses. The data flaw created immense opportunities for collecting sensitive information from Instagram.

It has also been found that an unsecured database is still in use by Chtrbox which is an Indian social media marketing firm. Chtrbox however claims that the information that is available is not from unethical sources.

As of now, Instagram is seen to be investigating David Stier case and database of Chtrbox.
