Microsoft Suggests for GDPR-Like Privacy Rules in The US

Microsoft now seems to be convincing the congress and the federal government to implement protection laws as similar to those of EU's GDPR. It has almost been a year now since the time GDPR had been introduced.

Microsoft's Vice President, Brill is of the opinion that if a strong privacy framework is adopted it will give people more control over their data and will require more accountability and transparency. He further adds that strong enforcement provisions needs to be implemented.

It is also noted that countries like Brazil, China, India, Japan and South Korea have all put forward their steps towards passing new laws and implementing changes to their existing laws.
