A New Twitter Bug is Exposing Protected Tweets of some Android Users

There's a new bug that is disabling Twitter’s ‘Protect your Tweets’ setting for some Android users.

Twitter has identified this bug in it's Android App last week. This bug specifically affected users who had turned on the setting in the app to protect their Tweets.

Twitter’s protected Tweets feature was launched to help users hide their Tweets from the public and displaying only to followers. The discovery of this bug has caused significant concern. Twitter also hasn’t commented on how many accounts were affected.

So if you are an Android User who has been using the “Protect your Tweets” feature, it’s possible that you were affected, that's why Twitter is encouraging all it's users to review their privacy settings.
