Twitter introduces new Larger Images and 4K Image uploads for addressing the Growing User Dissatisfaction
Twitter is working towards testing the publishing of tweets with better quality photos and its YouTube integration. The testing is a step by Twitter to address the growing user concerns who have expressed their dissatisfaction regarding how the images get cropped in the timeline.
As a step in this direction, the platform is testing the option for 4K image uploads. Another area of complaint is related to file compressions, and for users to view a better quality video, the platform is focusing on its integration with YouTube.
Further, the photos will now be displayed in large sizes in the users' timelines, unlike the earlier cropped ones. Currently, the feature is under test in the Twitter app for both iOS and Android. Besides, the platform will allow users to upload images in 4K resolution for retaining the high quality of the photos.
Also, Twitter will an overall better experience related to YouTube videos. As of now, embedded YouTube videos are tested in iOS only.
