WhatsApp for iOS lets Siri send texts
According to recent news, Facebook owned WhatsApp has now released a new update, version 2.18.80, for its iOS users. This update now allows users to send voice-controlled texts through Siri. Prior to this update, Siri only sent text messages and emails. However, now it can also send WhatsApp texts.
Using Siri to send messages via WhatsApp is so easy, even a kid can do it. To start, first launch Siri by pressing the home button. Then Siri will ask you what it can do for you. All you have to do is command Siri to “Send the message to the group” and speak the group’s name. If there is more than one group with similar names, Siri will list them all and ask you to choose/select.
Apart from this fascinating feature, this update has also added media preview for iOS devices. Because of this update, users do not need to launch WhatsApp each time they want to see photos or GIFs. They can download it by enabling the auto-download mode and view it in their gallery. This new update works for iOS 10 and higher versions.
