The Cut-Offs for Securing a Seat in Statistics Might Increase
There now seems to be an increase in the cut-off marks for statistics and other allied sciences. Until last year, the cut off was around 90% in statistics.
The teachers are of the opinion that there is a great requirement for numbers and logic in order to accomplish successful completion. The college to see the highest cut-off is Fergusson College.
Over the years, there seems to be an increasing demand for statisticians since they are required in most of the fields which includes RBI, IT industries, academics and government offices.
It was also seen that statistics played a role in predicting the latest 2019 Lok Sabha poll results. There also seems to be good amount of placements went it comes to the statistical department.
