Future of AI Seems to be at the Edge

Artificial Intelligence is no doubt one of the best technological advancements however there is an obstacle which is said to be coming in its way. In order to run AI applications, the algorithms that are used tend to be big and complex.

However, the ever increasing number of software, hardware and energy technologies that are coming to the market seem to deal with the issue. These technologies will help AI to depend lesser and lesser on powerful cloud-computing services.

Currently,only few handful of devices have AI capabilities however the number will increase by the year 2022. The next few years will see a lot of improvement and innovation in AI.

Google LLC in the year 2017 had come up with its TensorFlow Lite machine learning library for mobile devices. Google has also rolled out an on-device speech recognizer in order to power speech input in Gboard.
