Google Restricts Publishing of Content in France
Google has restricted the publishing of content by the press in France. It has also announced that it would be altering the way in which articles are seen to appear in search results.
France is said to be the first country that has switched the EU's new right for publishers and made it a national law.
As per the law, the press has the right to request money from platforms for displaying their content online. The online advertising market in France is said to have suffered huge losses due to the power enjoyed by Google and Facebook.
