Myntra Acquires Pretr

Flipkart fashion subsidiary Myntra has acquired Mumbai-based end-to-end omnichannel platform for retail Pretr – a company that integrates a business’ online and offline segments. Its suite is used by retailers across Asia and beyond, providing retailers with solutions for Endless Aisle, order management, clienteling, store analytics, and more.

Myntra has long been exploring such omnichannel options to combine its physical store network with its online customer reach, and plans to offer brands omnichannel partnerships so that they can avail such value-added services as same-day delivery, click and collect, and return or exchange at the brand’s stores. These brands in turn will be able to increase their sales, improve inventory utilization and offer richer customer experience across all nodes.

Pretr’s Endless Aisle will also allow customers walking into a store to view the entire inventory of a particular brand’s products, those available in other locations or online, and choose to get it elsewhere or get it delivered to their doorstep. Myntra, in addition to Jabong, which are both Flipkart’s subsidiaries – has raised a target of $1.9 billion for FY19, planning to expand its offline presence to 100 stores in the next two years.
