Swiggy acquired AI startup Kint.io

Swiggy one of the popular food delivery service now seems to have acquired startup Kint.io. Kint.io has been founded in the year 2014 which is responsible for applying deep learning and computer vision to object recognition in video.

The amount of the acquisition however remains undisclosed. Pavithra Solai Jawahar and Jagannathan Veeraraghavan who are the founding members of Kint.io are set to join Swiggy.

One of the reasons for this acquisition includes Swiggy's strategy to scale the tech prowess by bringing in entrepreneurial teams which will be able to solve unique customer problems.

Kint.io is said to be the first technology-led acqui-hire for Swiggy.
