Facebook brings the 'Smart Crop' Feature to Creator Studio

Facebook is all set to release its new 'Smart Crop' feature related to automated video editing. Started as a test in March, the Smart Cropping feature is all set for rolling out to a large audience.

With this feature, you can automatically generate a 1:1 or 4:5 version of any video clip. It will enable users to optimize for the main subject in the content. Users will get the option to publish these videos directly within Creator Studio.

Facebook uses this same technology with its Portal video calling device, which automatically pans and zooms as you chat. If you are into preparing videos, then the Smart Crop feature will be a new experiment for you to try.

You can access this feature in Creator Studio under the 'Upload Video' component of the post creation flow.
