Facebook Surveys A New Way of Eyeing Voter Data.
Recent ads on Facebook seem to be carrying some misleading information. The ads are said to direct users to take surveys that focus on asking their income. The information that users provided in these surveys are then used to further target the customers.
Basically personal information that is provided is being used for attacking the customers in the future. At the time of providing the information, users were told that the information collected is being for contact purposes.
However, it was later witnessed that they are being targeted for many other things as well. There is a clear breach of data by the party involved in collecting this information.
It is important for people to understand the more information they provide the more they tend to be at risk of getting targeted. Hence, it is advised to keep in mind to understand the privacy policy before heading towards providing any information.
