Facebook Works Diligently to Stop the Spread of Misinformation regarding COVID-19.
Facebook seems to be increasingly working on reducing the spread of misinformation through its platforms that are WhatsApp and Messenger. The coronavirus pandemic is increasingly seen to be spreading. It has reached to a widespread of people in a short span of time.
In this hour of need, it is therefore crucial that we do not spread any sort of fake news and misinformation as it would lead to more chaos. Hence, it can be seen that Facebook is working beforehand to avoid the spreading of misinformation.
WhatsApp too seems to be launching its new feature. With the new feature, the idea is to basically stop the spread of misinformation. WhatsApp has also launched its WHO chatbot that provides up to date information on COVID-19.
Over the last few weeks, there is an increasing number of people who have now become active on both WhatsApp and Messenger. Apart from that, Facebook is also seen to be working on a feature that will limit the number of group chats a message can be forwarded to.
With these moves, it has become clear that Facebook is constantly working to reduce the stoppage of fake news.
