Instagram is seen to be exploring how IGTV is likely to make money for creators. It is said that the company is yet to reveal how it will turn on the monetisation spigots for IGTV.
It has been found that Instagram had introduced IGTV in the month of June. It was said to be a close competition to YouTube. In order to be competitive it needs to add revenue sharing or other monetisation opportunities.
IGTV is basically positioned as a reimagining of mobile video in a vertical format. Through IGTV, users will be allowed to upload videos for upto 10 minutes to their own channel. Previously videos could only be uploaded for about 60 seconds.
