Instagram to launch its Shopping App

Instagram is currently seen to be working on its own Shopping App. It is reportedly seen to be building upon its new app which will be exclusively for shopping. The name of the new app is likely to be IG Shopping. The users will be able to view products from brands which they are following on Instagram.

The launch time of the app still remains unknown. As per sources, brands will be able to indirectly sell products through Instagram just by tagging photos with links to the product pages.

In order to improve the e-commerce experience Instagram is allowing users to buy from multiple brands through a single IG shopping account. It is also seen that about 25 million businesses are having an instagram account and there are four among five users that follow about at least one business.
