Chinese App Store Witnesses Loss of 47,000 Apps by Apple

Around 47,000 apps will lose access to Apple's Chinese app store. The move has come in soon after state regulators demanded compliance with the newly enforced policy. Amidst the rising cold war between the US and China, it is Apple's millions of customer data that will be held at risk.

A new policy change was recently brought in by Apple, which allowed paid games and games with in-app purchases to be sold without permission from Chinese regulators. Another reason for the fallout would highlight Apple's flaw.

Apple is the sole operator of its App Store, however on the contrary, app stores in foreign countries are required to be joint ventures with a Chinese partner. Donald Trump is another reason for the ongoing tension due to stringent measures imposed against Chinese tech companies.

Trump is seen to be constantly making it difficult for Chinese companies including TikTok, WeChat, and Huawei, to operate in the US on account of concerns related to the privacy of the user data.
