Google has recently updated its Showcase Shopping Ads by including video functionality. Earlier it included only images. In words of Google, video is said to be a highly persuasive form of content when it comes to influencing purchase decisions.
The Showcase Shopping Ads were introduced last year and this is the first update since they were rolled out. The ads basically allows advertisers to upload a number of images, and now includes video to a single ad.
It can also include descriptions,products and promotions. The ad units are said to be effective in terms of acquiring new customers.
