Snapchat working on Steps to Block Underage Kids from Using the App
The owner of the Snapchat company is seen working with British lawmakers for the purpose of stopping underage users from signing up for the popular social media platform.
A central verification system is the most sustainable solution in this case. The Governments and educators seem to warn social media platforms regarding the harmful effect on teenagers and preteens.
The minimum age for using Snapchat is 13 years and users are asked regarding their date of birth when they set up an account. The 'Streaks Feature' could be potentially stressful and addictive for younger users.
