Amazon India Urges People to enable Alexa Better Learn Indian Languages
Alexa in Hindi will soon be seen completing one year of its successful launch in India. Seeing this immense growth, the company hopes to launch several other regional languages soon. Many users prefer to make requests on Alexa in either Hindi or Hinglish.
With each passing day, the use of Alexa is on the rising path, and it seems to be getting smarter and smarter by the day. The company is seen encouraging its users about the Cleo skill and, in turn, helps Alexa to learn more about Indian languages.
With the help of Cleo, users can respond to Alexa in various languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Marathi, Kannada, Bengali, Telugu, Gujarati, and many other languages. An enhancement in the Cleo skill will further lead to better speech recognition and also natural language processing.
Users today tend to shift from English to Hindi and vice versa. This constant change between Hindi and English makes it difficult for speech science teams to keep in view the requests put forth by the users.
The Alexa team is continuously working towards making improvements and changes so that it results in a better understanding of Hindi by Alexa.
