Apple Announced September 12th Event
Media Invitations have been sent by Apple for an event that is happening on September 12 at the Steve Jobs Theater on Apple's Park campus in Cupertino, California. It is rumoured that this event would showcase the iPhones that the company is planning to launch in the rest of 2018 all of which would be similar to iPhone X.
The invitation that have been sent out are mysterious as compared to the previous events as they don't have any information about the products that could be launched. The invitations just feature a gold ring with black background, which looks like the design of a building at Apple Park, California.
Although Apple has not confirmed anything, its is rumoured that 3 new iPhone models would be launched on September 12 including -
- An iPhone X Variant with a 5.8-inch OLED Display
- A Larger Variant 'iPhone X Plus' with a 6.5-inch OLED Panel
- A 6.1-inch iPhone with an LCD screen.
The first iPhone that can be launched has the largest display (6.5 inches) that Apple has ever made and is dubbed D33 inside the company. If rumors are to be believed, this version of iPhone would be even bigger than its competitor, Samsung Galaxy Note 9. It is also rumored to have the ability to run apps side by side.
The second iPhone X successor has been reportedly code named D32 inside the company and is rumored to have an upgraded processors and camera.
Lastly, the 6.1 inch iPhone X will have an LCD screen instead of OLED which makes it the most affordable of the other iPhones being launched.
Other standard features that were launched last year which are allegedly included in the new models is the Face ID, gesture-based navigation and no home button. Most importantly, the at least one of the new models are expected to support dual SIM in some markets.
