Apple to Acquire Intels 5G Smartphone Modem Business

Everywhere it seems to be a season for acquisitions. Apple announces that it is all gearing up to acquire Intel's 5G smartphone modem business. The deal might cost a whooping $1 billion or maybe much more.

The move by Apple rose since it had a huge spat with Qualcomm. It will also enable Apple to depend less on Qualcomm.

Apple also has plans for establishing its own in-house 5G modem however that might take quite a few days to establish.
