Google Announced New Policies Related to Chrome Extensions and Drive API

Google develops a few new privacy policies related to Chrome Extensions and Drive API. These changes will start to reflect by the next year. The changes have been announced under its Project Strobe.

All the Chrome extensions will only focus on requesting that data that is actually required to implement their features. More extensions will be covered under the new guidelines.

An update for Drive API includes wherein they will be have a central place for keeping all the files whenever a user connects third-party apps. There will now be limited access to the data in Drive.
