Google Maps will Now Allow Users to Report Traffic Slowdowns

Google Maps will now allow users to report traffic 'Slowdowns'. Google has introduced two new 'Add a Report' options of Crash and Speed Trap.

The Crash option will let the users know regarding a possible crash and show others a different route whereas the Speed Trap option will alert the users regarding the upcoming Speed Traps on the way. The new Slowdown option will aim to deliver the information that the route which you are heading towards has a slow movement for some reason, quickly for others so that they can take a different route.

The Slowdown option for select users may show up as 'Congestion' and is expected to be rolled out to other users as well. This feature seems to be already under test.
