Google to change Privacy Rules related to Gmail Inbox
Google is all set to change the rules which allows its apps to scrape the Gmail inbox. The rules are said to change regarding the scanning of Gmail users inboxes. It has recently announced a series of new guidelines.
As per the new rules by Google, third party apps will no longer be able to scan users inboxes related to content scraped for advertising as well as market research purposes. Stringent rules are now being announced by Google for the purpose of reviewing the process for apps that access Gmail.
Google new rules will be a relative boon for privacy advocates however it will be a huge surprise for business models that highly depend on harvesting data from users inboxes.
