Recent Twitter Bug sent Users Messages to Unknown Developers
A recent bug in Twitter might have sent users' DMs to unknown developers. Direct messages from approximately 3 million users were exposed to outsiders as claimed by Twitter. The bug started from May 2017 and after getting discovered the company mentioned that the bug is fixed.
With the help of Account Activity API, registered developers can now build tools in order to better support businesses and communications with customers on Twitter.
Twitter has a total of some 336 million users and less than 1 percent have been affected. When checked by Twitter no kind of hacking activity was reported however it advised its users to enter a new password on all services wherever their current password has been used.
