Twitter's 'Fleets' Feature Displays Stories Post 24-Hours Owing to a Technical Bug
Recently, Twitter announced its stories feature known as 'Fleets'. The feature enables users to post stories in the form of videos, images, and text, which disappear after 24 hours. However, owing to a bug, the Twitter stories remain visible even after the expiration period.
Further, the problem might lead to downloading and viewing of Fleets by other users. Twitter, in response, has stated that it is working on fixing the issue, which it will roll out shortly.
Though 'Fleets' expire after 24 hours, technically, the stories stay on Twitter's back end for up to 30 days. Users can access their stories post 24 hours through user's Twiter Data downloads.
Twitter's Fleet feature is not retweetable; however, users can reply to the fleets, which will send a direct message to the fleet's owner.
