is all set to launch a new 'Hide Replies'
feature in the month of June. This will grant users more control over the replies which are visible following a tweet.
This feature might be controversial since the original person who tweets will be able to control which replies are visible in a conversation thread. The feature is said to be experimental.
It is likely that it could be tweaked or scrapped entirely which will depend upon how users are reacting to its implementation. Twitter is also planning to create a "healthier service" through cutting down on abuse and spam.
In the future, Twitter seems to be planning to introduce additional safety-related features which includes making it easier for Twitter users to share specifics when reporting abuse, adding more notices within Twitter regarding rule enforcement and debuting rules which are easier to understand.
