LinkedIn's new Intro Video Feature to allow for better representation of User Profiles
LinkedIn users can now add an Intro Video to their profile, making their profiles appear better. Alongside, the platform is also rolling out an all-new 'Creator' mode. Over a while, the use of videos has garnered a lot of popularity thus LinkedIn aims to tap on this upcoming opportunity.
Around 80% of job seekers, wish they had a better way to represent themselves to create a positive impression on the hiring managers. Let us understand in detail the new video cover story feature.
The video cover story will be the first interaction of job seekers with the hiring company, and hence it needs to be the best. After a user uploads their cover story, an orange ring will flash around their profile which on tapping will reveal a full-screen vertical video. Job seekers can enhance their videos by including their career goals, personality traits and highlight their communication skills.
The new 'Creator Mode' allows users to add hashtags related to the topics posted about the most. The activity section of a user will move to the top of their profile through the creator mode. Besides, freelancers will now have the opportunity to create dedicated service pages listing the services they can provide to clients.
The above features will soon make their way to all the users.
