Meta is planning to establish an NFT marketplace

The Facebook and Meta team plan to introduce a feature allowing users to display their NFT's on their social media profiles.

  • Additionally, Meta is also planning to launch a marketplace for users to buy and sell NFT's.
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg had noted that NFTs could be used to support a new market for digital goods in the metaverse.
  • The underlying NFT transaction process will make it easy to sell digital products in its apps.
This is the main reason Meta seems to be building more tools on capitalizing on this interest.

There is likely to be more scope in the NFT segment in the future.
