WhatsApp has Appointed a Grievance Officer for India
Whatsapp has recently appointed a grievance officer for India. It has also detailed the process for users in order to flag concerns and complaints regarding those around fake news.
Curbing fake messages has been one of the key demands raised by India. Users will be able to seek help through the mobile app, or they can send an email or write in to 'Komal Lahiri'. Lahiri is said to be the senior director for global customer operations and localisation at Whatsapp.
The new grievance officer was appointed towards the end of August. The grievance officer is said to be based in the US. Users can reach out to the support team by going to the 'Settings' tab. Also within the FAQs there was something that read as -
