WhatsApp sets up an New System in India to Store Payment related Data Locally
WhatsApp recently seems to have come up with a lot of updates. It has recently set up a system in which it can store payment-related data locally in the country in order to comply with the data localisation norms which has been listed by the Reserve Bank of India.
The new payments app is said to aid people in their everyday lives. The company is also expected to expand the feature all over India with the aim of contributing to the country's financial inclusion goals.
Also there was a circular which was dated in the month of April dated 06, stating that the firm is required to have its own offices and data storage systems in India. The company is expected to comply by these rules till October 15.
