How To Build An Online Sales Funnel To Grow Your Business

Online sales funnels have made quite a name for themselves as effective tools at what they can accomplish, to the point of being called “magic tools”. With the rise of the age of information, customers now have access to a whole lot of data to research and extrapolate from, thereby increasing the cost of competition – essentially making it a race to the bottom for which company can afford to sell their products at the lowest price. However, sales funnels allow you to “strategically capture leads through a squeeze page, generate sales, identify dream buyers” and upsell your customers. Old-age marketing isn’t really that different from the current strategies employed, with the core tactics remaining the same but with changed methods of delivery. The first step would be to analyze your competitor’s funnel – essentially their advertising methods, landing pages etc. Then model a leverage funnel based on theirs, and use it to your advantage. Buy ads on the same sites as your competitors to drive more traffic to your website, or use referrals from existing customers’ websites. The main types of sales funnels are the tripwire (basically a low-priced offer wherein free-plus-shipping products can be sold to generate upsells by processing a customer’s details, such as their mailing address and their credit card info), or webinar (which is a pre-recorded or live session that is both content and marketing). Funnel building can be done by both software and professionals so make sure you find the right fit for yourself.
