How to Optimize your LinkedIn Profile for better Online Presence

LinkedIn is the largest professional network, that people often used passively as a digital resume. Professionals looking for new opportunities can use LinkedIn actively to have conversations. You never know which conversation can end up changing your career. Here are some tips to use LinkedIn to build the right business connections:

Overhaul your Profile
Having a professional looking profile photo is one of the basic requirements. You can also get creative with your headline that describes who you are. This need not include your current job title, but like a one line story of your life. This will help you appeal to others as you'll be sending a meaningful message.


Avoid Radio Silence
You should update your LinkedIn status at least once a week. If you own a business or are linking for new opportunities, you should spend time on LinkedIn everyday to send messages, add new connections and update your status with blog posts, opinions about current events etc.


Do your Research
Most people do not look at thoroughly look at a person's background before sending a connection request. This only adds to the number of futile connections in your profile.
