How to Translate your App UI into Marketing Design
It is important to connect your app user interface design to your marketing design of you aim to grow your brand's recognition as a whole. The following are the five ways through which you can incorporate an apps UI design into a marketing strategy:
- 1. WHEN IN DOUBT, SCREENSHOT IT OUT
Ads which have screenshots and very clean backgrounds tend to get the most success. Try and keep the text light and straight to the point. Create a polished gif or small video with a quick demo of the app's best features. Also test tons of ad images. - 2. CREATE A UNITED FONT
Pay attention to the style of buttons and boxes on the app. If you use rectangle as buttons than you need to make sure that your marketing material follows this style and try to never use rounded edges on anything. You should also consider this for drop shadows, font sizes, transparency etc. - 3. BE CONSISTENT WITH COLOR
Try to use very limited colour palette while designing the UI for an app. This will make it easy for your marketing to achieve consistency and also more importantly recognition for the brand. - 4. SPEAK THE SAME LANGUAGE
By directly incorporating elements of your UI into your marketing campaigns you can give audience a better understanding of how the app functions and benefits they can expect out of the product. This will enable the audience to get a taste of the product before they download. Also try and isolate the key elements of the product. - 5. GET YOUR POINT ACROSS
You need to understand that it's important to engage the audience by describing how the app's design improves the user experience. You need to find a way to convey how the UI benefits your customers and how it appeals to potential leads.
