What is Google My Business and why is it so important?
Google My Business is a free utility that allows small businesses to manage their Google listings, when people search for them on Search or Maps; and hence every business must use this tool to control how they appear to people on the internet.
People are turning to the internet more and more with each passing day to look and search for things, and that means that the visibility of your business on the internet directly affects your business, allowing interested customers to know more about you and/or get in touch with you.
While using this tool, make sure that you send out relevant and important information about yourself that helps customers find you easily. By sharing and updating information regularly like opening hours, photos etc., users can compare business easily and reach a better conclusion.
Another important initiative you need to take is engaging with your customers. Make it possible for customers to leave their reviews, write testimonials and share stories, so that other customers can judge and appreciate the validity of your business’ information. You can also use your tool to easily create a free mobile-friendly website that is super easy to navigate; this engages customers even more and also provide analytics data.
GMB can also be used to uncover various metrics and analytics related to your business: namely where your customers come from what they’re interested in etc. – so that you can cater to them. You should also strongly consider getting your business verified on GMB; this allows you to gain complete control over editing your listing, and makes you more reputable and believable to your customers.
